DEAR VIVEK,

I KNOW THERE IS A LOT OF TALK GOING ON REAGADING THE DAY BY DAY DECRASING IMAGE OF CA,..

BUT I GUESS THIS IS JUST TEMPORARY,..ICAI HAS DRASTICALLY INCREASED THE PASS % AND THIS HAS LED TO LOT OF UNEMPLOYMENT,...THER ARE A LOT OF CA STILL IN THE HUNT FOR SOME OR THE OTHER JOB,..

MY ADVICE WOUD B TO SELECT A COURSE ALONG WITH CA LIKE CS OR CWA WHICH WILL STRENGHTEN UR EMPLOYMENT OPPURTUNITIES,..

GAIN SPECIALISATION IN ANY PARTICULAR SUBJECT AND THIS WUD EVEN BRIGHTEN UP UR CARRER,...COMAPNIES ARE RECRUITING BUT U NEED TO BE A BIT DIFFERENTIATED TO GET THE JOB,.IT IS NOT LACK OF KOWLDGE BUT LACK OF ADEQUATE JOBS,..

JUST SPEND TIME IN GETTING GRIP OVER ANY PARTICLAR SUBJECT AND TRY FOR JOBS AS APEARING IN VARIOUS JOB PORTALS,....

I M SURE CA WILL BE A CA NO MATTER WHATEVER HAPPENS,....WE STILL ARE THE KINGS,..!!!!

engineering graduates say that they've lsot their sheen.

mba's keep talking about how dismal the job market is for them.

CS and CWA's aren't celebrating their job opportunities

CA final pass percentages touched 25-28% in the 2007-2009 period and nothing happened, it's just that the economy has not grown. Insustrial production has reached negative figures. The CA institute made a bad decision to increase the pass percentage during this time. If the economy grows then everyone will have job opportunities.  In USA and UK, the pass percentage for chartered accounants and chartered management acountants is 45-50% and they draw high salaries even going by their cost of living. Also I have seen the class of people who are chartered accountants - I'm not saying they are low class rowdies or anything but they aren't employable for managerial positions. My friends in engineering are getting 20 thousand per month, the situation all over is  pathetic. Also many CA's are not SAP or tally certified. Accounting has evolved, so has its platform, so no use complaining you don't have a job when you can't operate on a modern platform.
