I have cleared my IPCC both groups in May 2014. I will be sending the forms for articleship. My query is that - do I have to immediately register for CA final for can wait (if so, then uptill what time)?

It means your attempt of CA Final will be in November 2016 or later if you register articleship within 30 days of result.
you should have register in CA Final on or before March 2016, i.e. 9 months before the exams (approx.)
