A MD in a company can be appointment as an MD in another company only by a unanimous approval of the board. If out of 8 directors present at the meeting, 6 vote in favour, and 2 neither vote in favour nor against the resolution, is the resolution considered unanimous?

No. it will Amount to that- majority of the Directors are agreed for appointment of MD, but not all the Directors.

Only when all the Directors who are present at the meeting approved the appointment and given their consent to the resolution will amount to Unanimous resolution.
