Vinod Gupta- A very Interesting Book if you have time and curosity to know Income Tax in detail .

Vinod gupta also issues a summarized book which is of only 300 pages and can be used revision once you have gone through the main module throughly.

Second option is Manhoran which i used for CA final , language is easy and covers almost everything , but if you want a real hold on the subject go for Vinod Gupta.
