Kindly advice on a strategy to cover Management Accounting (costing) by self study. What should be the book to follow and how to prepare on a self study basis?

Hi Costing part for self study would be easy.... Consider padhuka for the same...
yes the book is huge but it covers everything u require to pass and score awesomely well in the exams
secondly once u r done with padhuka... U must solve the practice manual... As the sums are picked and dropped from the pm in the exam
for the OR part u can study from padhuka but i would suggest to watch prof dani khandelwals or lectures online...
though your logics are not cleared in the lectures but it gives u a track as to how u have to solve.... Thereafter solve padhuka as it makes it easy for u to understand and also clears ur logics...
last but not the least ofcourse the PM...

U may opt either saravana prasath or Vashist and s*xena.. give importance to theory portion along with reverse workings from operations research. Make sure topics like TP, Decision making, ABC, Marginal costing is covered sufficiently, best of luck...
