I THINK A N SRIDHAR IS NEVER FOR SELF STUDY........EVEN ITS FONT R MORE CUMBERSOME,AND MORE FORMULA ORIENTED AND NO PRESENTATION.......
IF U HAVE FUNDAMENTAL OF SFM THEN ..A N SRI....IS BEST....
SORRY....SO MANY STUDENT SUGGESTED A N SRIDHAR BUT IT MY XPERIENCE , BETTER TO GO WITH S D BALA...

i dont know abt SD BALA ,, BUT I REAL SFM SELF BY A.N.SRIDHAR AND I FOUND ITS A REALLY SUPERB BOOK FOR CONCEPTS..........AND VOLUME OF QUS ALSO SUFFICIENT.......

Most of the name of author of your book is more than enough. I also have some reservation about AN Sridhar , it is more forumale oriented and compared with SD bala Book, presentation part also not better... For more details Please go through the below Link
