Please reply to my below query urgently as i am very confused:
I have an query regarding recent amenments applicable for Nov 16:
Many of the amendments are effective after 31st March 2016.
If in exam question is asked for F.Y. 2015-16 then will we answer as per amended law or priot to amendment.
For instance:
Equipment purchased for office use is capital asset for availing Cenvat Credit w.e.f. 01/04/2016. If in exam question it is purchased in 2015-16 then how should we answer?

amendments took place at least 6 months before the exam to be held are applicable, hence for nov. 2016 amendments till 30th april 2016 are applicable.

you have to answer as per amendment, if that amendment is on or before 30th april, 2016.
