CA + CS OR CA + CFA????

I am a CA PE II (appearing in June 2009) and CS final student

Recently one of my friend cleared CFA and he got a job with Birla Sunlife, paying 2.5 as starter. He is a CA final student. Compared to my friend who completed MBA this year and is still struggling for a good job in this recession period. (NOTE: He is a grad only). My friend who is a CFA suggested me to either quit CS and do CFA or continue CS and CFA BUT DON"T GO FOR MBA.

My question: Is CS a better option in today's time with CA?? CFA is yet not popular but reportedly it is one and only one option that might boom within next few years giving an option instead of MBA

Also, CFA and CS have no direct relation with Recession or no matter what the tough times are. They are in demand always.

I personally hate doing MBA as it wastes by precious 2 years of articleship. As such in CA where experience and practical work counts.

Is it better to stick with CA and CS??? or should I go for CFA + CA???

I am confused as to what should i combine with my CA for a better pay tomorrow.

Please suggest good advise and motivation from your part.

hello

your already doing cs final then go ahead with ca and complete of that, then after completing your cs take cfa but not from icfai one pls.do it from usa one.cfa have good scope if u do from usa one..your friend done from usa one or from icfai one.....See if you ca cs and cfa its good one triple professional course..go ahead all the best,what ever you pls think before...

Yes CFA from US..tough but very interesting and in easy terms it is just MBA for CA's sitting home and learning with your CA rather MBA.

Even me planning to do cfa, my friends already going that and one of my friend complete 1 level and writing 2nd level in this june....even me too doing ca and cs now..will complete cs and will take cfa....all the best..

Level 1 - minimum 45k level 2 - same level 3 - same if u pass at first attempt - minimum of 2.5 if not - better drop CFA!!!

If u go for MBA then no need for CFA both are different CFA is costly and lenghty but it secures ur future (no effect of bad times for CFA charter) On the other hand, in MBA i think almost every one is informed that MBA dusn't secure future there is always a fear of job loss and constant competitive aspirants to replace you.
