CA + CS

In small company and small multinational company, CA plus CS qualification add some value. in such type of small co, there is no secretarial dept. but, in big Indian or MNC, there is no add value for CA plus CS qualification.

I believe guest's comment are totally wrong. CA+ CS is the most deadly combintion in commerce field even i big companies people who are at senior level in finance are also working as CS which gives them a total control over both the departments plus it open a new field for the incumbents (holding CA+ CS) i.e Commercial analysis of legal agreemeents. So pls donot get influences by the guest;s comment

HI friend CA+CS is really a very good combination for both service & practise.I PERSONALLY know 3 persons who have done CA+CS simultenously got 6lac+ package last year.NOW companies are considering corporate governence as a important area in company so in INDIA CA+CS is a expert person in that area.So go with the both.

Hi Vinay In my opinion CS will not add Much value to CA degree because emphasis of CS is on imparting theoritical skills while CA course checks the practical and analytical skills of candidates.CA along with CFA or MBA is a better career option .However CS along with LLB is also a good career option as Good corporate Lawyers having Domain knowledge in the field of company law, FEMA & Competetion Law,Securities law etc are in great demand today.

CA plus CS combination good for only small co. CS plus LLB is good combination for practice and job. CA plus CS good for small company. small co is unable to bear secretarial dept cost.

I do not think if u look at the company secretaries of big companies they all are CA+ CS and beleive me if u are a CA+ CS and are working as head of finance of any company (big or small) YOu are an obvious choice for being appointed as CS of that Company. Plus job of CS hold some practical advantages which one cannot enjoy just as head of finance. These are liasoning with board of directors. you get a good chance to establish a rapport with them. Plus any corporate level action be it merger, acquisition or small action like divident payaments inherently involves company secretary. PLs ask any senior CA he will always advise that CA + CS is an excellenct combination because it really imparts skills which one cannot have just by being CA. and if u pursue MBA . You end up having what u already have. If u do LLB believe even best of colleges in india does not provide course curricullam any where near to that offered by CS institute . LLB course curriculam is not even 10% of what ur are expected to do in practical while CS course really give theartical knowledge as well as practical training to the incumbent.s though growth as CS is slow but with CA + CS your chances to grow are multifold and you are a tempting chice for management of any company (big or small)

I feel it is good frndz....Bcoz along with CA big company prefers if the candidate has some additional degree..i know some CA+CS and my around 10 frndz are doing CA+CS with me.....

One more thing....as i am also doing CA+CS....More input will help us to grow..i welcome the suggestion/comments by the readers...thanx in advacne..
