Also tell me what will be his position if he is having his proprietorship ???

Yes He can become Partner in 2 / 3 firms even after he has his Proprietorship Firm. Only thing he has to see is that the Audit Assignment Limits will be calculated based on the Consolidated Audits signed by him under his Membership No. in all such Firms put togather does not exceed the Prescribed limits
