BSNL subscribers to get mobile coverage at Amarnath Yatra

State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited said postpaid mobile subscribers of BSNL and MTNL could get coverage on the entire route of ongoing Amarnath Yatra. “BSNL has provided mobile coverage on the entire route of Amarnath Yatra. Customers from any other state having BSNL or MTNL post-paid mobile connection with roaming facility on their phone and all BSNL mobile customers from Jammu and Kashmir will have almost continuous mobile service right up to the Holy Cave,” an official release of BSNL issued here said. “Both the routes of Baltaal and Pehalgam, including Sheshnag, Panchatarini and holy cave have complete coverage with BSNL mobile network,” it said. BSNL had set up mobile towers at base camps of Baltaal and Chandanwadi which would help Army, Para Military Forces, and 'Langar' organisers to make better arrangements for pilgrims. Roaming of other states prepaid mobile subscribers is not allowed in the state of J&K. BSNL has made special arrangements at base camps to provide prepaid mobile connections for pilgrims.
