Now a practising CA should have 3 years of minimum experience to have a statutory bank audit of nationalised banks.
But does this rule apply even for Private Sector Banks? I was told that even a fresher can be appointed as Stat. Branch Auditor of Private Sector Banks. Is it correct?

Yes true.But god only knows how the application and allotment of statutory audit of pvt banks happens.it mostly goes to big 4 and a CA without 3 year experience need not bother.
