i wanted to know whether it is possible to get icai membership by a person who is already having icwai membership
this is very urgently required

Yes. You must have seen people with CA, CWA & CS qualifications. If both the courses have been done simultaneously then one is required to inform the institute about the same.
yes that is possible but you can practice only one ....

Dear Mahesh,
You are eligible to get Membership of both the inistitute if you had cleared the exams of both the respective courses.
As far as Membership of ICAI is concerned you have to complete 15 day's GMCS course ( General Management communication skill) befor you apply for the membership.
There is no restrictions for member of any other institute to hold the membership of ICAI along with their other membership (ICWAI and ICSI) If he or she satisfies the above mentioned conditions.
