In case of sale to a merchant exporter by a registered person, he shall supply goods at a concessional on a tax invoice.
The concessional rate is 0.05% of CGST and 0.05% of SGST in case of intra state supply to merchant exporter or 0.1% of IGST in case of inter state supply.
However the concessional rate is subject to conditions such as the exporter should export the goods as such within 90 days from the date of issue of tax invoice and many such other conditions prescribed in Notification No 41/2017 IGST Rate dated 23rd October, 2017.

Hi Akila,

I need one clarification on the billing to exporter. If we supply at 0.1% Tax. how are we going to file in GST returns as such the GST website does not show tax rate of 0.05% and 0.1% for Sales.

Waiting for the reply as it is very urgent.

Regards

Sridevi

Hi Sridevi,

Concessional rate of 0.1% on sale to merchant exporter is introduced vide Notification No 41/2017 IGST (Rate) dated 23rd October, 2017 which will have only prospective effect and not retrospective. Hence, there will not be any concessional rate of tax in the month of July to be disclosed in the July month return. Lets wait for amendment in the format of returns for October month to disclose such transactions. Hope this helps...
