DS RAWAT

And what about other books like Dolphy-D'Souza etc ???

Follow Rawat. This will help you from examination point of view. Since you are in the learning stage now, Rawat is the best. Also follow the suggested answers for previous terms to get a knowledge about the type & manner of answers they want.

Best of luck!!

And what about other books like Dolphy-D'Souza etc ???

And is AN Sridhar good for SFM ???

Paduka book on AS is very good from Exam point of view. Q&A format, illustrations are worth taking a look.

D S Rawat or Paduka's is better than Dolphy D'souza..M P Vijaykumar is good in knowledge point of view like many of our friends has suggested bt its too bulky if ur preparing for May2011 attempt to cover his book exhaustively..A.N.Sridhar is an excellent book for self studying SFM..Bt the recent edition is too bulky with repititive questions and errors..Older editions of the same author are worthy for upcoming exam..Many eminent faculties in Chennai who take SFM has assured that there isnt much changes in the new syllabus compared to the Old syllabus so the older edition wont put you into trouble..supplement ur studies with latest Practice Manuals and RTP...Wish you Good Luck!!

My suggestion for Books :

Accounts – M.P.Vijayakumar and  for AS – Dr.Sanjeeve sinhal ( Best Book) sir Book

Auditing and SAs– padhuka

SFM- Pattabi ( Base Book)    for more problems refer(buy) A.N.Sridhar sir book.

Corporate and allied law –  Munish bhandari sir text book. Not hand book

Advanced mgt a/cing – padhuka ( base book)  refer(buy)  V.K. saxena sir book(Advanced mgt a/cing Sultan chand puplication)

ISCA – ICAI Study Material

DT – Dr.V.K.S

IDT – vandana banker madam( base Book)

With ICAI study material and practice manual and scanner.

Take notes for all the subjects if possible. Read and revise many time.

For problem subject – read theory first to understand concept

Write steps to be followed while solving problem.

Including format to be used to solve problem, formula, journal entries……
