Benefit u/s Sec 23(2)(a) and Sec 23(2)(b)

Ques: Assessee has a self occupied property at one place(say Goa) in which his family resides and he has to reside at some other place(say Chd) due to job compulsion..Assessee has one more house in Chennai(say) which is vacant for full year.

Assessee can either claim benefit u/s 23(2)(a) or 23(2)(b)..

In the above ques can the assessee claim the benefit for the Chennai house as deemed self occupied and take the house in Goa as Deemed let out??
