i havent experiance yet, so i am agree only with half statement.

i think love is not our enemy but expectations is our enemy.  love is big friend of us.  love with father,mother,brother,family members & human being is a true meaning of love.

please try to understand ,difference between love and expectation.

Don't expect anything from life, expectations hurt. When u don't expect, every moment is a surprise & surprise brings happiness with it.
