Bank job after ca

Hi...

Plz note that Banks are the 2nd highest recruiter of CAs. But im also a bit confused whether to go for a banking job or not as there are mixed opinion from people...Its the safest as der id gud job security....many say job is very boring as u work only on 1 aspect ex retail assets/liabilities, personal finance, assets managmnt, and very stressful .....

If u do bank audits, you are better equipped to seek a bank job...u should be very good in finance subject and be thorough with RBI guidelines... Do enquire with people who are working as bank managers.

U should choose a firm which does bank audits..this way u'l be updated with laws and regulations applicable to banks and also help u understand its working.

Doing bank audits will definitely give you an advantage of knowing bank operations, applicable laws and regulations. But what is very important is clearing your CA in minimum No. of attempts because now competition among CA's has increased and banks look for brilliant academics rather than just experience in bank audits, which will be more useful if you go for practice after becoming CA and want to audit banks.
