Quick Summary
If the bank account linked to your GST registration is dormant or inactive, and you fail to inform the GST department, your registration could be suspended or cancelled. It's crucial to update your bank account details promptly. You can reactivate the dormant account or provide new details. Failure to comply with Rule 10A, which mandates furnishing bank account details after registration, may lead to deactivation.

Make it active by visiting GST Dept and you may apply for cancellation of registration later if you want to discontinue GST registration due to lack of sales
Better to give new account or Activate the same ...

My Question is what action taken by the department in such situation ?

Depart may suspend or cancel the registration.
