There's an old saying: "Hate destroys the vessel that contains it."
Be genuinely nice to them  irrespective of how dey react to it....Don't deliberately antagonize by showing an attitude towards them. It will just create enemies, which already occur in nature to begin with....besides, one day, you may depend on one for something......!
