Any cash gift received from employer is fully taxable under the head salaries even if it's received during marriage. however if it is received in kind then value upto 5000 is exempt if the value exceed 5000 then fully taxable

Thanks. Award for appreciation of specific task comes under salary or covered under Rs 5000 limit.
