Authentication code for tarces i.e. tdscpc.gov.in

When you submit the required details lik bsrcode, pan no, tds amount , the next step u click on proceed button, the system generates the authentication code which we have to save it and it is valid for only one day to download the consolidated file / form16 / 16A .

In that case that field must have been given at the bottom and it would have been indicated within brackets  what this authentication code is and when it is useful .

Now every body is under the impression that without the authentication code - we can't proceed.

As a govt. 'server's they got the opportunity to confuse and satisfy their ego.

Can you tell me where the authentication code is shown once it is generated? will it be sent by mail or displayed on the screen immediately?

I have filed my client's TDS Return on 3 rd November 2012 for IInd Quarter of  F.Y. 2012-2013.

When i login to tdscpc.gov.in website and try to download Form 16A, but the same was not accepted as showing invalid data.

Please help me other way to download the Form 16A of my client.

Hi,

The authentication code will be displayed on the next screen once you enter all details.

What I think the reason is that the field is kept on top is that the next time when you come to the screen, you do not have to scroll down...it is shown on top

ya right,.. the AU code gets displayed on top of the screen ( next screeen  wen u click on proceed button.)

Correct geetha...also, authentication code is valid for one day only...

Dear Jithendra. I also suffer in same problem. We have to wait until it is updated in TRACES. So we may often check it by try to Regist as new user. When it is accepted  and updated in TRACES we can Regist that TAN and download the Form 16A. But FORM16A requests  processing time is very long. I gave request yesterday but I have not yet received them now itself. So we have to wait .... wait....wait.
