Audit or tax? which to chose for articles?

hello everyone. i have cleared my IPCC Exams. i am looking out for articleship.

should i opt for Taxation Or Audit?

please let me know on what basis i should make the judgement.

in ipcc i was never very fond of tax, honestly. however, everybody says that audit can become very monotonous and tax is challenging and dynamic.

is this true?

what Scope is available for both?

Hey,

First of all I would like to say that..

.Dont go for a specialisation based on scope...go for something which you like.

Work in a particluar field will not feel the same as studies in that field...You may actually start liking tax once you start working.

So, I suggest you not to go for any specialisation right away...Join some reputed mediocre firm which would give you exposure in all the areas....after a while you will automatically figure out which field you would like to specialise in. All the Best

but if i get in a big four company, i will have to choose something eventually and they donot allow you to shift departments . what can i do in that case?

Hey, that is exactly wat I tried to explain to you earlier...In that case dont go for Big 4's...join a medium sized firm where u can learn everything.
