as far as i know u can give exam in may 2008..as a pe II student...but i advice u to confirm with institute because in past after 5 attempts students has to re-register so better u ask with institute..all the best for ur next exams

Hi, If you are doing CA after graduation then you will get this may attempt,but if you are doing this after passing pe-1 then you cannot give this may attempt for details you can visit ICAI's site in the BOS announcements.

I myself cleared only one group in the 5 attempts. Same case with other friends of mine. I think this is unfair on the part of the institute that in the previous schemes, as well as in the new scheme (CPT, PCE) there was no restriction on the number of attempts. While we have only 5 attempts. Students are ready to work hard and become a CA, no matter how long it takes. I've seen uncles take this exam while I was giving it. I think there has to be a provision for people like us who really want to do it. Sometimes 5 attempts aren't ennough. Also, when I went to the regional offices to clarify, they dont have any clarity themselves. Why so much pressure on the students??
