Eveytime it strucks to my mind that Accounting standards ko bhi koi karta hai kya....?as parveen sharma has covered so many practical problems and theory in AS.....just tell the weightage of AS in xams....i mean generally xam mein kitne marks ke puche jata hai....i knw also its unexpected ki kitne ke aa jaye.....help me?

At IPCC level you don't have to go into depth for AS. Read all the basic points and solve question answers and compiler. Weightage of marks depends..... however in Nov 10 exam the first compulsary questions (20 marks) was full of AS.

Dear AS are very important. Its having weightage in both accounting & auditing paper. U have to prepare well for AS, it will also helpful in ur Final exam n also in work during ur articleship. So dnt take in lightly.

in aggregate it covers almost more than 50 marks for ca final in accounts and audit

i have advised keeping in mind ..the time left for IPCC preparation.. in 20-25 days if one goes preparing for AS in extreme depth then he/she will not be able to complete other syllabus at all. Moreover at this moment all the basic points are to completed and practise as much question asnwers you can. This is the right funda... and ofcourse AS is important that is why i said that last nov first 20 mark was full of AS.
