Articleship Termination

You need not register for CA Final again. But you have to re-register for Articleship when you join again in other CA Firm. However you need not pay the registration fee for Articleship again. Also you need not start from scratch again. You have to only complete the remaining period of Articleship i.e., 3 years - 7 months = 2 years 5 months

During the first year of Articleship, there are no restrictions for transfer or termination. It is enough if you and your Principal agrees for the same. You need to send Form 109 to the Institute for termination of Articleship

Hey, then what is the difference between transfer and termination?? I mean same form for transfer and termination??

your 7 months will not be elapsed but your final attempt will due after completion of 30 months of articleship

when you take termination then you will have to wait for minimum 3 months to re join articleship.

but in case of transffer you can start immediately

Still i am not clear. I mean my 7 months wont get wasted but my final attempt, i.e. on may 2011, instead of that it will go on november 2011 and my articleship will be of 3yrs-7months = 29 months. Am i right??

And why i have to wait for minimum 3 months to rejoin somewer else?? cant i rejoin within a week?

AS PER INSTITUTE GUIDELINES THE STUDENT CAN NOT REJOIN BEFORE 3 MONTHS OF THE TERMINATION- REFFER  TRAINING GUIDE

WHEN YOU WILL RE JOIN YOUR ARTICLES THAN YOU WILL HAVE TO FILL 102 AND 103 AGAIN . AND YOU WILL REGISTERED FOR BALANCE 29 MONTHS

in future could i restrat my articleship? may  be after 6 months ...

would i have to pay articleship fee again?

would i have to take fresh registeration in final since i have all ready registerd for final?

i did not find the clause regarding 3 months anywhere...could you let me know where i could i fond it

I see that you are all up to date with the rules and you know exactly how the ICAI reacts to certain issues.

I have passed CA inter examinations in 2007 and completed 9 months of articles in India. After that i had to relocate to the United States and could not continue. As i thought  I will never return to India, i never terminated the articles with the Principal which i must have done in May 2009. My question is if i can do it now after almost three years. I know there is a fine amount for that but i do not know if it can be done even after three years. I want to terminate it now and start my training with another Principal.

Please let me know if I can terminate the Articles now which should have been done in May 2009.

Hi,

I m doing my IPCC (direct entry) due to personal issue I cannot continue after 10 months. So can  i terminate after 10 months and re join other firm after 6 months, is that compulsory to join by 3 months.
