Articleship in partnership firm or proprietary firm

The ownership structure of the firm is not important so long as you get variety of work and experience. Best of luck.

It would be better advisable for you to go to the partnership firm because the work exposure would be better over there when compared to proprietory concern........But see where the work is nice and much so that you can stand on your own legs........

Kindly enquire about the varieties of Tax audit available before you join any firm ( Atleast 100 or more). It would be better if you join a firm that has atleast one listed company audit.

Make sure you undergo some tough interviews. Dont join any firm without interviews.

Ensure atleast more than 10 articles work.

Enquire thoroughly about the client base of the firm. Their yearly turnover, nature of business etc.

Also feel free to talk with those articles already working there, enquire from them about the quality of work & auditor reputation ( They are the ones who can guide you properly)

From my personal exp I am saying think 1000 thosand times before joining a place, coz its very difficult to change later.
