articleship in big 4 firms

I am very keen to e&y CA firms at Kolkata for article ship. I have completed my iipcc(both groups) with 57.33%
I need help to get in to the article ship. plz let me know how to apply in e&y or any other big firm.

i cleared my ipcc nov 2010 exams and searchin to join articleship in big 4.

big firm ( like Grant Thornton)  or mid size firm..if i want to do job in future.

grant thornton is a very good firm.if you are selected then you sould join the firm .as you want to do job in future then its definitely better to join big firms .so go ahead and join grant thornton.meanwhile you can also apply in big4 as well because they take transfer students as well.

But i also heared that there is also a loss in joining a big firm...like no time for self study, no time for coaching, and only one field speacialistion...

so on such basis should i join Grant Thornton..??

HEY FRIENDS,

THE ONE WHO WANTS TO GO FOR JOB MUST JOIN THE BIG FIRMS,

OR  COMPLETE UR ARTICLESHIP IN A MID SIZE FIRM FOR FIRST TWO YEARS AND GO FOR INDUSTRIAL TYRAINING IN THE LAST YEAR.

THE SECOND OPTION IS GUD FROM STUDIES POINT OF VIEW.

I agree that articleshpi in B4 exposes u a lot but that wud affect ur final studies in a negative way. I wud suggest go for a medium firm..
