You should find a CA who is a relative or a friend of your parents or friend/relative of a friend or relative. If you go by reference through family or friendship they normally dont ask for good academic record.

You could also find a CA in your locality who can be a neighbour. This way your office would also be nearby your home.

Personally I have joined articleship with a distant relative who will not give me dummy but allows me to take frequent leaves, attend my coaching classes and will give me 4-5 months of exam leave. However I had got more than 60% marks in PE-2 exam.

BE COOL FRIEND.  DONT WORRY U WIL GET GOOD CA FIRM, JUST HAVE A PATIENCE, AND  TRY TO GO THOUGH REFERENCE, UR MARKS DOESNT MATTER YAAR. JUST IMPROVE UR FRIENDS NETWORK ASK THEM TO GIVE SOME REFERENCE IT WILL WORK BETTER............... ALL THE BEST...................
