Article CLerk - Hate the term used!!!!!

Hey topic starter, in which era u r living??

The institute has shifted from clerk to assistant since ages..

I think it should be ARTICLE ASSISTANT .

now audit assistant term is being used instead of article clerk.  it has been changed in the year 2006 or 2007 by ICAI . however most students are not aware of this change.

I would love the name of the course to be changed as "Chartered Accountancy" to "Certified Public Accountancy" just like the US and Australian ones just to make it look more modern and the term "Articled Assistants" to "Public Accounting Interns"

I ll prefer  AUDIT ASSISTANT.

An employee with no enthusiasm for money but labour, in that case, term is appropriate

Whoever said 'CA's Peon' is down to earth.

As now onwards only Group I clear student of IPCC and PE-II cleared students are doing articleship it should be  " Inter CA " .

How is that ?

If the work we do is not better than what Clerks do, then whats the harm in being called articled clerk?

Rather, it shud inspire u to become CA quickly and hire some articled clerks under ur belt

CA Articles should be called    "CA LEARNERS"
