Approval of opt out

Approval Timelines: ICAI usually approves or rejects opt-out applications closer to or after the conclusion of the exam cycle via the SSP portal.

If Rejected: The student is merely marked "Absent" for missed papers with no additional penalty.

Appearing for Group 2: Students do not need to wait for approval to write subsequent papers. They can legally appear for Group 2; if the opt-out is rejected, their Group 2 papers will still be evaluated normally, safeguarding their hard work.
