I understand a practising CA can be a director of companies in India but not a statutory auditor. But Can a former Director be appointed as the statutory auditor in a company???, But I think at least not for the immediate previous year from the date of resignation of the director??
Can anybody shed some light into this please???
Yes a former director can be appointed as a Statutory auditor of the company, since nothing restrictive is mentioned in the provisions.
