Can anybody guide me on the below subject: -
I am a qualified chartered accountant but do not hold any COP.
I am Director in a private limited company in which I hold 1/3 of the paid up shares. I am holding the post of director since April'2010. I am in full time employment since this being my own company.
I would now like to apply for Certificate of Practice to pursue my profession as well as continue the existing business.
I have following questions: -
1) Can I apply for COP and start practising as a chartered accountant?
2) I am going to continue as Director of the PVT. Ltd. company and will also hold on to my shares.
3) Can I at the same time practice as a chartered accountant as well as hold the post of director in the company and also continue to hold the shares in my name. I am not going to audit nor get involved in auditing or any attest function of my own company. It will continue to be handled by existing auditors.
