Application for clarification

150 views 1 replies
while registering a partnership firm in gst, I namee just one partner and forgot to add other partners and proceeded n verified.

Now State gst department has asked to clarify and give details of all partners.

I am unable to add other partner in the form as it is disabled and so have replied attaching the pan and aadhaar of other partners and requested them to enable 'add new' option in partner details.

The state gst department meanwhile called in my client's no. and asked to come to the office with all documents.

what should I do ? Should I wait for their reply online or go to the office ?

Hi Prithviraj,

In this situation, it’s generally best to visit the GST office in person with your client and carry all the relevant documents, including:

  • PAN and Aadhaar of all partners

  • Partnership deed

  • GST registration certificate

  • Any communication exchanged with the department

Why go?

  • The department called your client, so it’s a good sign they want to clarify in person.

  • It helps avoid any delay or misunderstanding.

  • You can get immediate feedback and possibly get the issue resolved faster.

Meanwhile:

  • Continue to follow up online/request to enable adding partners if possible.

  • But do not ignore the physical call from the GST office.

My recommendation:
Go to the office with your client as per their request. It shows cooperation and seriousness and is likely to help resolve the issue quickly.
