Payment of bonus Act
applicability

1. to all government employee
2. to all state govt. staff
3.private sector employees.

Hi Mr. Mukherjee Thanks for the reply... But meanwhile when i was referring the Payment of Bonus Act ,1965 I come across a particular section named " Act not to apply to certain classes of employees" in Sec 32 . Pointing to iv clause of that section : ""(iv) employees employed by an establishment engaged in any industry carried on by or under the authority of any department of the Central Government or a State Government or a local authority;"" Isn't that the above clause signifies the act is not applicable to Govt staff?? In a dilemma whether it applies or not. Kindly justify that....(if possible with reference to act) Thanks in Adv

As such casual workers employed by any other establishment pay bonus.
