Whether you are service provider or service receiver (in the capacity as Business person or final consumer)

If you are business person then canteen service will be your input service 

but as per rule you can not take input credit on food items/food related services

if food items are supplied by you and you are avaling only labour services from canteen contractor then input credit can be availed
