Applicability of cost audit???

They are about 44 types of industries coevered for cost audits and this is type of industry comes under tyep - 1 under the head formulations and hence cost audit is applicable to it.

No actually Cost Audit is applicalble only to the manufacturing companies... And on manufacturing of dyes cost audit applicable,if turnover during 2011-12 exceeds 100 cr .. and compliance is applicable if turnover exceeds 20 cr...

i forgot to mention the limitng factors like T/O and Captial etc.., 

The question aslo contains manufacturing of dyes and all so i had also considered the same..

Hi.. My product falls under chapter heading 3006. i.e. Surgical sutures, sterilisation solvants. Our net worth & turnover crosses the limits given for prescribed industries subject to cost audit. However, I am not able to verify by virtue of which notification we are covered under cost audit.

Relevent notification date is 7th July 2011.

And the relevant notification no. is GSR 874(E) of 07/12/2012.
