Ap vat on transportation charges

Dear Sirs,

Is there any applicability of Vat on transportation of goods by Transport contractor. Here the contractor have to transport naphtha (petroleum product) with in the state of andhra pradesh from kondapalli to Kakinada.

Please treat this as most urgent

VAT IS NOT APPLICCABLE TO TRANSPORT CONTRACTOR. TRANSPORTATION OF GOODS ARE COVERED UNDER  GTA SERVICES.
