Any deadline for completion of ITR Processed status?

Dear Experts,

For me, the status of ITRs is

1) AY 2008-09 --- Return Uploaded (Last year, I received a demand notice and got it corrected through a CA. He informed me that it was a system error and there were thousands of similar cases)

2) AY 2012-13 --- ITR-V Received

3) AY 2013-14 --- ITR-V Received

Is there any deadline to the department to get it completely processed? For all these years, I have filed for tax-refunds!

For other years, it is "ITR Processed"

Please clarify.

Dear harsha Do not worry about the processing. Usually it get processed in two years. In your case of refund if it is shown as processed then it mean that you will shortly get an intimation under sec 143(1). Which tell you about your demand or refund status. If your intimation shows tax refund then you will get it in 3-6 month time either by way of cheque or by crediting directly to your a.c. For more information you can also call on I.tax customer care no which Is available on internet. regards
