A consumer may file a complaint either with the State Screening Committees or with the Central Standing Committee with confirm prima facie evidence of profiteering.
The Central Standing Committee will then send the application to the Director General of Safeguards, CBEC( Central Board of Excise and Customs) for the purpose of investigating profiteering and reporting and after the investigation is completed it will be passed to the NATIONAL ANTI-PROFITEERING AUTHORITY who will then pass appropriate order to ensure consumer benefit.
