As it’s been mentioned by ITD that from the F.Y. 2009-10 onwards there will be no TDS certificates and one has to register [online registration for Annual Tax Statement (26AS)] oneself to view the tax credit available against its PAN (Permanent Account Number).

So dear members here you can apply for the same & get yourself registered for availing the above mentioned facility.

I checked 26AS database & found that deductions shown in it do not match with TDS certificate issued by bank. Also, the booking date shows that TDS information was made available (booking date) on 21-Jul-2009. Under these circumstances how can one wait to see TDS entries in 26AS before filing return as date for filing return is 31-Jul-2009. So, seems most people will file return based on TDS certificates even if values there may not match with 26AS. Kindly suggest.

As far as I remember, I had created userid/password on tin-nsdl site using my PAN Card Number & then had approached TIN-FC for PAN verification. Once they verified PAN, userid/password became active. I guess TIN-FC people in your area & they will suggest you the right procedure. I guess the list of TIN-FCs was available on tin-nsdl website. Hope it helps.
