Whether Annual Return of TDS for A.y 2005-06 is compulsory to file or now this compulsion is removed in budget speech?
If it is removed then plz tell me where it is written?

Filing of Annual Returns of TDS have been done away with in current year's budget. However, in case of Salary TDS return for Fourth quarter, annual details are to be given in Annexure II of Form 24Q.

But if you see the software of Taxmann for the year 2005-2006, there is an additional annexure -II, which basically seeks information for the annual tds on salaries.
For other TDS like contractor, professional etc. no format is there.
