It is optional. The autopoulated values in the Form GSTR-9 would be deemed to be considered as final GSTR-9 filed.

It's optional for Taxpayer having aggregate turnover less than 2 Crores..
But if you have any mistakes in your return relating to that year, than you can correct that through GSTR 9.
