ICAI Announcement

Announcement-100 Hours IT Training undergone at erstwhile accredited Computer Training Institutes after 30th November- Invalid
It was informed that the ICAI has withdrawn accreditation of all private computer training institutes w. e. f 1st December, 2007 for imparting 100 Hours IT Training to CA students. Various announcements in this regard were published in November 07, December 07 and January 2008 issues of the Students Newsletter. A detailed announcement was also hosted on the Students’ page of the ICAI web site. Students were advised not to register for 100 Hours ITT with these institutes on or after 1st November, 2007. All registered students were advised to complete their training and appear for online examination latest by 30th November, 2007. It was also clarified that in case a student registers with any of these institutes on or after 1st November, 2007, his training will not be considered valid and training completion certificate will not be issued by the Regional Offices.

It has come to our notice that in spite of these announcements, many of the students did not appear for online examination by 30th November 2007or had only partially completed their training. Many students registered with computer training institutes for undergoing 100 Hours ITT after 30th November, 2007. In all such cases, their training will not be considered valid. Such Students are required to register with Accredited Branch/Regional Office IT Centres only and complete their 100 Hours IT training.
