Dear Members,

Kindly advise over the below mentioned query;-

A Society is registered under the Socities Registration Act, 1860 in Uttar Pradesh, Can It starts its Educational Institution in The State of Maharastra?
If no, kindly advise how can it operate its Educational Institution in State other than Uttar Pradesh.

And What is the procedure for amending the Bylaws of the Society as our society is already registered in the state of Uttar Pradesh?

If Society Wants to carry on work all over the India by amending its Bylaws then also it is required that it must have members of 7 different states?

It can start educational institution in state of Maharastra, if it is not restricted by Bye laws of your Society, generally we insert following clause in bye laws of society "The area of operation of the Society shall be in the state of Uttar pradesh and shall not be extended without the approval of general body  and also the same shall not be implemented without the prior approval of the addition Registrar of Society within two months from the date of passing of such resolution."

If it is restricted by bye laws of your society, you have to alter the bye laws of society by inserting enabling clause for operation of society throughtout  India,

Procedure for amending Byelaws of society

1. Conduct Executive Committee Meeting and fix date and venue for General body meeting for taking approval of members for altering byelaws.

2.. Conduct General Body meeting and take the approval of members for altering bye laws

3. Submit Minutes of General Body Meeting and Memorandum and altered Bye laws of society with respective sub registrar of societies with covering letter,

for any clarification, contact sub registrar of societies of your juridiction.

further to earlier reply, in order to carry on the work of society through out india, it is not required  to have seven members,  from different state .
