I as well as many of my friends were very nervous and excited about the new president's first message. And i was disappointed when i read that. He has told told nothing about
a) Reduction of articleship of pcc students
b)revoking/relaxing transfer rules in same city
c)implementing e--diary(i seriously believe he should not implement this)
d) advanced itt course( this gossip has been going on from ved jain's tenure)
This is the make or break year for icai. Next year onwards,
a)Company Bill 2009
b)Direct Tax Code
c) Goods and Service Tax
d) IFRS
is gonna come into existence.
Can ICAI give guarantee that we are gonna get exposure into all these fields. Students who are having 1-1.5 years of articleship left; if you don't allow transfer; how will we get into firms who will give us exposure in these fields. If u take my case; even after these things come into force; all i will be left will be making returns,. filing tds and nothing else.
