I had terminated my article clerk service at my previous principal on 23/11/2011 after serving a period of 8 months & 22 days. In reply to my request on termination of my article ship ICAI confirmed the termination & informed me that I have taken excess leave of 89 days.
Later I re-registered my article service at my new principal on 9/12/2011 to serve my balance period of 2 years, 3 months & 7 days, which would end around 15th of March 2014.
I have taken very few leaves at my new principal.
As I am an IPCC student the eligibility to give November 2013 final exam states that I have to complete my article ship service including excess leave (if any) before 30/04/2014.
I am confused weather my excess leave will be covered after completion of my service i.e. after 15th March 2014, or would be covered by my good attendance before my new principal as I have taken very few leaves under his guidance, without affecting my article ship completion date. Whereas if the excess leave needs to be covered after 15Th March 2014, my article ship will complete on 12th June 2014 making me ineligible to give Nov'2013 exams.
As I was confused as to weather I am eligible to give this attempt or not, I filled my exam application form & waited for the reply.
On 4th October 2013, I received a letter from the institute (examination department) copy attached, requiring me to confirm my article ship status, by filling a declaration form and they have provisionally admitted me to the exams.
I request you to please clear my confusion as to weather I am eligible to give this November attempt or not.
Also help me what reply should be given to the institute from my end regarding this matter & suggest what steps should be taken from my end.
If I am ineligible to give this attempt, should I appear the exams as I am provisionally registered or I should not appear the exams?
Please help me as soon as possible as it would help me better for preparations of my exams.
