Hi,
In our business we will buy goods in the unit of boxes. 1 box will contain 10 packets. I successfully created alternative unit.
1 Box = 10 pkts.
Suppose i bought 2 boxes. but i want to sell 3 packets only. How can i get this conversion take place in sales voucher. When i try to enter 3 in the quantity column tally is taking it as box.
Please let me know how to do this.

Create Units Of Measurements (UOM) as packets and enter the transactions in packets.
Hope this resolves your query.
Create Unit Of Measure "Box" - with 2 decimal (symbol bx)
create unit of measure "pakets" - with 0 decimal (symbol pkts)
Create "Item 1" , unit of measure box
alternate unit pkts 10 pkts =1 bk
Pass sale entry in qty type "3 pkts"
you shall get what you want.
