alternate director

As per the Companies (Amendment) Act 2017 effective feb 09, 2018 person should not be appointed as alternate director if he is a director in the company or already appointed as alt dir of odr dir in the Company.
In case total no. if dir in company gets exceeded to more than 15 with appointment of alternate dir than spcial reso to be passed.

As per Section 161(2) of the Companies Act 2013, read with Section 165, read with Companies Amendment act , a person cannot be appointed as alternate director if he is already the director in any other Company or if he is the alternate director of any other director in the same Company or other Company.

As per Section 165 of the Companies Act 2013, a Person appointed can be appointed as Director including alternate director in not more than 20 Companies.
