How can Indian economy recover from the crisis it has gone through?

Was reading an article by Ajay Srinivasan and agree with his view that India needs to go the US way to recover, the way they did in 2008. The policy makers did a wonderful job in funding financial institutions in order to keep them continue funding of productive sectors in the economy. I guess, if we too can come up with such powerful policies, we too can turn our fortunes around.
